The Method I am Using To Build My Torso - By Steve Tanner

My Story..............yadda yadda
As a kid I grew up with LoST iN SpaCE, dreaming that I lived aboard the Jupiter 2, had my very own Robot and Space Pod. My cousin Matthew and I spent countless hours playing our own special version of the Robinson's adventures in space.
With two of my mothers saucers (from her
tea set that I use to sneak out of the house every weekend)
sticky taped together with the outlines of the hatch, main
viewport and porthole drawn on them with a black marker I had my
very own
Jupiter 2.
I also had my own Chariot, Spacepod and Robot. The chariot was a matchbox VW Combi-van camper painted silver no less, the pod was a 9-volt battery with matchsticks taped to each side for the landing legs and the robot was a piece of silver coloured tube with a clear button glued on top for the bubble with the base painted black for the treads. I treasured each and every one of my little creations.
Many things have changed since then but not for my love of the Robot and LoST iN SpaCE.
Two years ago when I finally convinced my partner Greg that we need to connect to the internet. WHAM it was all there, I was in sci-fi heaven, LIS sites were everywhere, then it happened... I FOUND THE B9 BUILDERS CLUB and the rest is history in the making ( to me anyway).
Everything I needed was there, parts, plans, pictures, even where to buy a full-size bubble, but its greatest asset are its members, apart from being the best group of individuals I have had to pleasure of meeting over the net, they all love to help each other, which is rare indeed in the world today.
